Hurricane IRMA Kekoa 3.0

$75.00

In 2017 two Category 5 Hurricanes, Irma and Maria, swept through the Caribbean leaving a wake of destruction. In the peak of the storm Kekoa endured 275mph mph winds until 2 other boats broke free up wind of her smashing into her port side. The collisions opened a 16’ hole in her port hull and she began to sink. In that moment all 15 anchor lines holding her to the sea floor began to snap and suddenly she was adrift. The immense wind pushed her into the islands rocky shore where she would stay until help could arrive.

When the storms finally cleared the brothers Ryan and Jamison Witbeck came to find her wrecked beyond comprehension. This is their story of how they repaired their beloved boat back to her original glory.
